On behalf of the organizing committee, I
want to thank the participants who contributed to making Return to
Mausica - Nostalgia. a success. The youth arm of Mausica, which
Scratchy calls the ‘passion of Mausica’ gave marvelous performances.
Heather MacIntosh (Ruby Joseph ’71), Yohan
Chucharee (Patricia Kalloo ‘73), Ziggy Ranking (Deanna Bowles
‘67) and Michelle Pilgrim (Yvonne Pilgrim pioneer).
Joan Kydd from alpha graduates made hearts
flutter once more.
D’Alberto (Spouse - Marilyn Kangalee’74)
showed us why he still performs in the UK
Mike Duncan ‘72 and Gilbert O’Connor
‘71(Happy) came from Tobago just to delight us.
Hazel Thompson ‘70 and Fareida Chapman ‘66
took us back to times at Mausica by conjuring up different experiences.
Michael Gonzales ’79 (Dr. Chonkie Ting)
gave us his adult humour….They pack the audiences these days.
The evergreen Felix Edinborough gave us
the ultimate Pierrot Grenade.
Last but not least the Hosts of the
programme Rodney Foster ’68 and myself, Finbar Ryan ‘72, ably supported
by the sound system of DJ Philo (Alisford Phillips ’69).
I cannot omit Errol Lashley (pioneer and
builder of the Mausica website) wearing his original Mayfair Mansion vest,
which he has worn at every reunion. He also wore his Graduation Jacket at the
gala dinner.
The camaraderie and warmth from all the
persons who came home to Mausica was unbelievable. And of course, I also thank
my brothers and sisters on the committee who all contributed wholeheartedly to
the entire exercise of Reunion 50. It was an honor to serve.
