RE: Update on Bertie Fraser(pioneer class: '63-'65)

2012-Apr-25-2249Hrs
Attention: Errol, For the Mausica Blog site.
Additional and updated information has been relayed to me from Bertie's eldest daughter - Camille, who has been at his bedside since his hospitalization.
As follows, verbatim, this is what has been passed on to me:
He underwent a craniotomy to remove a large tumour, and most of the tumour was removed with relative ease.  He continues to have a positive attitude, his sense of humour is very much intact, and he remembers people and their voices.
There is a great team taking care of him at the hospital.  He is comfortable and resting peacefully.
Unfortunately, the tumour was malignant, called Oligodendroglioma, and there is some weakness on the left side of the body.
Treatment will take some time but we are hopeful and are expecting the best.
Comment from Es.
For those of you who know Bertie's first wife - Victoria Peters (a fellow Mausican), she is alive and well, residing in the city of Brampton, Ontario (just outside of Toronto).
