Re: MAUSICA WEEKLY EMAILS

2010-APR-30-0711Hrs
Dear Kyle,
I am a Mausican who was taught by Fanny Roopchand. She had a very handsome son, John , ( named after his Dad, I believe),who worked with British American Insurance Company before he emigrated to Canada, I believe he told me. We used to chat when he worked at British American. I last spoke to him at his Mum's, Ms Roopchand's funeral. He and his lovely wife have at least two children. I used to visit Ms.Roopchand when she lived on the Eastern Main Road in St. Augustine. I was really sorry that I did not know she had moved to the Home run by the Presbyterians before she died. I would have visted her there as it was very close to the law school where I was working at the time. I understand they took good care of her, though. She was a dear and was kind to me.She was a very frank person and always told it like it is.
Her brother, Roderick Roopchand, was a magistrate. I believe he might have been Chief Magistrate at one time. There was also a James, who was a doctor. There is a magistrate called Rae Roopchand whom I believe is related to them. He was a student of mine at law school. I will ask him if he can provide any further information on the Roopchand family and pass it on to you, or ask him to get in touch.

To all Mausicans
On another note, are there any Mausicans in Sweden? I will be there for a week in May and would love to get in touch.
