T​hough it was a sad occasion, we were all happy to see one another.

After the funeral service we all went to dinner and shared our Mausica memories.  There was a lot of laughter and the usual camaraderie.

RE: Cassava and Wine!

My Fellow Mausicans,

Last Wednesday evening, July 13th, Marj and I shared some wine with our  celebrated Mausican, Havenite Brother, Efebo Wilkinson.

Efebo and Lucille were visiting their daughter, Karma,  and her family in Lawrenceville, GA. It was a most enjoyable evening. Efebo and I had red wine and the ladies sipped white.

Efebo informed me that Bitter Cassava received rave reviews and he appreciated the presence and support of the Mausicans who attended the play.

Next time Marj and I visit Sweet, Sweet TNT, we will be wearing our treasured gifts:  Bitter Cassava T-shirts.

Another Mausican making a contribution here in Atlanta is Alan Simpson, de man from Grande. He is deeply involved in the Memorial Day Carnival and the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Georgia.  At the Family day picnic, Alan had the children and adults participating in 50 yd race,  bag race, egg and spoon, needle and thread and windball cricket. Everybody had a good time.

I was holding the rope at the finish line.

My sincere condolences to The Mausica family as well as the relatives on Megan's passing?. I still remember her pleasant smile. She gave me a recipe for cheese straws which I always use when I am having a lime. She will always be remembered. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Once again Angela Weatherhead-Jarvis has been plunged into mourning. It is with deep sympathy that I report the recent passing of her mother. Condolences are extended to her and members of her family. May her soul rest in peace and rise in glory.

A few of us attended the memorial service of Myrdith's mom. Sadie and Frankie; Winston and Barbara; Earl and Ena; Farida and Felix and one other who is Myrdith's relative. It was like a mini reunion. There I was told of Megan's passing. Our condolences to her loved ones. She would be remembered for her warm smile  and friendly manner. May she rest in peace.
