Rodney and Marjorie Foster

"My Friend and Sister, Carol Burnette Cook
Marjorie and I send our sincerest condolences to the Burnettes and Cooks.
I first met Carol at MTC in 1966.  What a time!
Carol was a model student. She possessed all the qualities of a true, true Mausican. She excelled in academia, helped others and found time to participate in several extra-curricula activities: the choirs, Student Government, fetes and liming. Carol was bright fuh days.  She simplified Maths for many a fellow- student. Like most of her girlfriends from South and Central, Carol was an excellent dancer and sharp dresser. She had de fellas lining up tuh dance ah bolero or ah bossa nova. Like Maria Mora says, carol was “like salt”. In everything.
After graduating from MTC, Carol lived the Mausica motto, “Molding a nation through service.” In addition, her home was open to her Mausican family. Ah lime by Carol was always ah winner. Carol Burnette Cook was ah good cook. Her husband, Raymond , and  the children were always hospitable.
Ask Irma Charles, meh brother-in-law, Courtney, and meh wife,  Marjorie, about the tasty buss up shut, curry chicken, potato and channa and curry mango we had at the Cooks many years ago. Ms. Woods woulda give Carol ah A+.
Thank you Carol for touching our lives. Your distinct voice and endearing personality will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace and rise in glory.
Sincerely,
Rodney and Marjorie Foster
Stone Mountain, GA"
