Subject: I ,Obelisk
2007-Sep-14-1737hrs
The above is the title of an article in the current issue of Saudi Aramco World. The obelisk, created in the time of Seti 1 traces its life to where it now stands in Rome.
Talk about interesting history? Resources like these were not available in our time.

Last month,I ordered subscriptios for The National Library Of Trinidad and Tobago, and The Library of the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine.
The magazine focuses on the Islamic world, wherever Muslims are. Its very positive portrayal of ancient African history alone makes it worth reading.
From it I learned a few years back, that West Africans were reading and writing Arabic five hundred years before Columbus sailed to the New World. the manuscripts are in a museum in Mauretania.
You can well imagine how astonished my students were at that fact! With each issue, they push the veil of history back a little further. Articles are written by professionals in their fields.
Past articles can be accessed online: www.saudiaramcoworld.com, and pictures can be downloaded for educational purposes for free.Check it out, Mausicans and others, you'd be glad you did.
