Re: MAUSICAN - MARTIN BRATHWAITE - A TRIBUTE FROM RODNEY FOSTER
2006-Dec-29-Fri-1337hrs
Even though I never met the man, reading what you had to say about him and your years in Mausica, remind me of mine, 1969 to 1971. Clearly Martin was a true Mausican, and your words do pay a real tribute to him.

Really like the idea of lighting the candle. Will do this. Please be advised that plans for the reunion are coming along very smoothly. We will meet on July. I am very saddened about by the news of Martin. I am not in Trinidad and Tobago so will miss the funeral, but he will certainly be remembered in my prayers and that smile and laugh.

More sad news to be broadcast..........Eugene (Killer) St Hillaire's wife passed away suddenly tonight at the San F'do General. I just spoke to him and his daughter a few minutes ago after getting the sad news. I don't think it has really hit home yet to them. She was complaining about some pains, went to the hospital to be chcked and passed away there...full details not yet available. I plan to give them a call again tomorow (Friday) to get more details.

My family and I mourn the passing of Martin, a Grande boy and buddy of my husband. He was my second year and I remember him, always neat and easy to relate to. May he rest in peace!

Mycondolences go out to his family. We were Fairhaven roomates in the 1966-1967 school year.

Re: SAD NEWS
I am very saddened by that information. Martin was a member of my year group - 1966-68. Perhaps, because of the mix-up in the names we were unaware of his passing. He is one person who was always full of fun and enjoyed life. My condolences to his family and to the Mausica family.

Good Morning,
Merry Christmas and a Bright and Happy New year to you and your families.I just spoke to Dudley at the Hospital . he was re-admitted sometime last week and I am sure that he would like to hear from friends between the hours of 10.00a.m. and 7.00p.mp. and the number is 516 663 3980. As we were sapeaking the doctor walked into the room. So probably a call little later in the day would be fine. Please pass the word along. His wife would appreciate people giving him a call.

Re: SAD NEWS

This is very sad news, as all such news is. Braf was a Havenite, and a member of the Red Guard table that included Kent Rennie, Selwyn Bethelmy (Sto), Calsbury Gonzales, Rodney Foster, and others. They really were an elite set of second years, exemplars in every way. Braf was a kind man, who gave a lot of time to us first years in Haven. Since Sto, my roomate, was also from Grande, Braf spent a lot of time in our room. I heard he had become a headmaster as his career progressed. It is sad that many of these great Mausica ties suffer from lack of follow through after graduation. We really have to make time to meet.

Yes, myh brother. Very sad news indeed. Somebody has to find Keith Aqui, his second year and room-mate in Room 4 (if I remember correctly) Fair Haven; Sto, his real buddy; Phillip Kendall, his other partner in crime; Noel Duncan, Phillip's 1st Year Room-mate in Room 6; Horse; and of course Irma (ne Clarke). I myself will try to reach Grande tomorrow (Christmas Day). Being in Room 8, I saw it all . . . knew it all . . . and loved Martin Braf dearly. Those who were there will remember the football camp of July/August 1967 and Beck's car with no doors and seats and the after-training limes. Those who were there on the occasions when love did not go right will recall the pasion that drove the man . . . consumed him. Those who were there at those moments when we needed men to stand up and be counted will recall that Braf never failed to step forward. I lost contact some years back. Still I remember enough to celebrate a life well lived with heart and an amazing generousity of spirit. Dolphie, Phillip, Sto you know what I'm talking about. May he rest in peace.

I just spoke with his brother, Oswald, at 868-668-2726. No date set for funeral as yet. The Express reported Terrence Braithwaite aged 50 in error.

2006-Dec-10-Sun-0932hrs
Hi all,
Happy holidays, peace, good health and happiness. I pray that 2007 would be a successful year for each person and their loved ones. Most of all I hope that we would have a grand reunion in Tobago, although many of the folks up here have gone on and made plans, as it seems that the reunion is not happening.I am optimistic.
Love to all
